Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb denies any losses in the bombardment of the Mauritanian warplanes

A spokesman of Al-Qaeda organization in the Islamic Maghreb refuted the news that said some of its elements were injured in the bombardment of the Mauritanian warplanes of a convoy for the organization in north Nigeria last Sunday.
The spokesman said in a phone call with Nouakchott news agency that the bombardment reported by some of the media in fact have targeted a civilian car carrying citizens from north Mali, and resulted in injuring a man and women, and the cars of the organization weren’t damaged.
Also the spokesman said he has nothing to say about the deal of exchanging the gendarme Ail Wolud Al-Mukhtar with the prisoner Abdurrahman Wolud Madu aka ‘Ridwan’, but he confirmed the that the operation happened without a mediator between the unit of the Mauritanian gendarme and elements from the Al-Qaeda organization in the Islamic Maghreb.
